Working in Communication field over few years and getting experiences, we found out very complex and difficult, to manage different internet connections on the ships. Devices made for IT people, were to complex and complicate to manage from the Crew side and the connection in most cases was a “nightmare”.
Facing these problems, we developed Netskipper. It is a MultiWAN router, designed in a “User friendly way”.

The Netskipper marine Router series is a modularly constructed communications platform, designed for maritime use. GSM, GPRS, UMTS, WiFi, Ethernet support as well as the intelligent backup management guarantee an extremely high connectivity of close to 100%. The fully implemented IPSec standard and the optional Open-VPN guarantee the highest security during transmission of data. The authentication can be made either using deposited certificates or pre-shared keys. All modern encryption algorithms such as 3DES or AES with up to 256 bit encryption length are supported. The permanently established VPN tunnel (configurable) enables the integration of the router in a company network and can also be accessed via mobile networks with private IP addressing; therefore DynDNS is no longer necessary. If desired the router can also be reached via DynDNS. The local network equipment can be connected either by WLAN or Ethernet.

With a simple command http://connect.me, into your browser, you can access to the Netskipper’s Web interface. It is designed in a very intuitive way, so everyone can get confidently with it in a few minutes. Ones the configuration is done, Netskipper takes care to get you online at all times. You chose priorities, Netskipper takes care the highest priority available connection is chosen.
